Unlike set screws used to secure wheels and gears to axles which typically feature a "cup" point, these set screws have a smooth, oval "point".  These are ideal for use with adjustable axle blocks featured on an increasing numbers of cars such as the SCX Pro Nascar, Scaleauto Toyota and Scaleauto Radical.  The oval point allows for more precise adjustment and positioning of the axle than a cup point and the axle turns with less friction.  The set screws are 5mm long and feature a black oxide finish.
