XLR connectors are becoming increasingly popular with 1/32 slot car racers.  They are rugged, easy to connect/disconnect and ensure controller wires are not inadvertently connected to the track incorrectly.  Slot Car Corner offers three (3) different types of XLR connectors - each is described briefly below:

XLR Male (Inline) - Typical use would be to replace your existing controller connector(s) with an XLR connector.

XLR Female (Inline) - Typical use would be for an adapter to convert an XLR male connector attached to a controller to some other type of hookup (e.g. plug, alligator clips).

XLR Female (Panel Mount) - Typical use would be for driver stations to permit controllers with XLR (male) connectors to be quickly connected/disconnected.
