High Quality Copper Tape   Need a source for high quality copper tape at a fair price?  Look no further - Jay Hodges offers some great deals on high-quality Venture brand copper tape.  You may recognize Jay - he is a frequent contributor to several 1/32 slot car boards - he goes by "The Old Jaybird".     Venture Brand Copper Tape   You've worked hard to design and build your routed track - don't cut corners on something as important as the copper tape.  Copper tape offers many advantages over traditional tinned copper braid.  Copper tape costs a fraction of braid, requires far less preparation (e.g. no need to route recessed channels on either side of the slot to house the braid) and is much easier to install - just remove the adhesive backing and apply to your track.  Repairs, should they ever be necessary, are very straightforward as well.   When shopping for copper tape, keep in mind not all copper tape is created equal.  Jay offers quality American made Venture brand copper tape which is 1/4" wide and 1.25 mils thick.  Don't confuse Venture tape with inferior copper tapes made in China (e.g. Studio Line, Great America) which are very flimsy.  These imported tapes may be slightly cheaper to purchase initially; however, they are much more difficult to work with since they tear/break so easily.  Venture brand copper tape also uses a superior acrylic adhesive formulation which provides astounding, immediate tack - the bond actually strengthens over time.   Venture copper tape is sold in rolls - each roll has 108 feet of adhesive backed tape.  Current prices (check with Jay before ordering) are $5.50 USD per roll which includes shipping to addresses in the United States.  Shipping charges to Canada or Mexico are slightly higher - contact Jay for details.  International shipping (excluding Canada and Mexico) is also available; however, there is an eight (8) roll minimum (and increments of 8 rolls thereafter).  International orders are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail International - 8 rolls plus shipping is $50.00 USD.  Jay accepts money orders and PayPal (add $1.00 per order to cover PayPal seller fees).  For more information or to place an order, contact Jay via this email link.
