Adjustable Front Axle Mounts
 
For those of you who like to tune your chassis by setting the height of the front axle / wheel, these adjustable front axle mounts provide an easy, precise way to do so.  Two set screws, one directly above and one directly below the axle, provide an easy way to set the axle/wheel height precisely where you want it.  Note also the base of the axle mount is slightly larger than portion of the mount with the vertical slots - this provides more surface area to glue the mount securely to the chassis.  Specifically designed for 1/32 Scalextric Nextel plastic chassis, they have also been successfully used on other chassis as well.  Please note the vertical slots are designed for 3/32" axles - separate mounts will be offered for larger diameter axles (e.g. Ninco) in the future.  Installation of the mounts is straightforward - step-by-step instructions can be found here.  Feedback and pictures from actual racers who have installed the adjustable front axle mounts can be found here.

Bushing Alignment Kits
 
Proper bushing alignment is an example of a "little thing" which when combined with other "little things" can make a big difference in how well your car performs.  There is exactly one way bushings are properly aligned as described in my Bushing Alignment how-to video.  Conversely, there are an infinite number of ways they can be misaligned so the odds are really stacked against us.  While it is virtually impossible to align bushings "perfectly", using the components in these kits will get them very, very close (much closer than just using an axle) and just as importantly, it will ensure consistent, repeatable results.

Racing Bronze Bushings - Slot Car Corner's bronze bushings have a slighter small bore than Slot.it (tm) bronze bushings for less axle play.  The bushings are also counter-bored to reduce friction.

Bronze Bushings (3/32" Axle)
Nylon bushings which come with Scalextric (tm) slot cars generally have a lot of "slop".  This results in rear axle movement which adversely affects a car's handling.  To address this problem, many racers replace the stock nylon bushings with aftermarket bronze bushings which offer tighter tolerances and less axle slop.  Ours are the same high quality as the better known brand but cost considerably less.  These work great with Slot.it (tm) 3/32" axles and 3/32" drill blanks.  Sold in packages of one (1) pair or four (4) pair.  Why pay more?

Racing Bronze Bushings (3/32" Axle)
Our Racing Bronze Bushings take our stock high-quality bronze bushings described above one step further - the bushings are counter-bored from one side for a portion of the inner bearing "race".  This means there is less inner surface area in contact with the rear axle which in turn means less friction.  The material removed also creates a small "well" which makes it easier to lubricate the bushings.  Despite the extra steps required to manufacture these bushings, you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for them.  Ours are the same high quality as the better known brand but cost less.  These work great with Slot.it (tm) 3/32" axles and 3/32" drill blanks.  Sold in packages of one (1) pair only.

Axle Spacers
Axles spacers are essential when setting the front and rear tire track width.  Ours are made of low-friction nylon and are .020" thick.  This is thin enough to allow precise adjustments or to take up side-to-side slop.  The spacers can also be "stacked" to fill larger gaps or to precisely center crown gears on the motor shaft.  There are ten (10) spacers to a package.

Motor Retaining Screws
Motor retaining screws help you securely fasten the motor to the chassis.  This prevents the motor's torque from twisting the motor which can adversely affect the gear mesh and/or twist the chassis which affects the car's handling.  Note that not all motors/chassis are designed for motor retaining screws.  The motor's can must be drilled/tapped to accept the screws and the car's chassis (or motor pod) must have pre-drilled holes which line up with the motor holes.  There are ten (10) screws and washers to a package.

Miniature Motor Pod Screws with Nylon Lock Nuts
Miniature machine screws and nylon lock nuts which are perfect for motor pods - no more screws loosening up (or coming out...) when you least expect it.  The miniature nylon lock nuts eliminate the need to coat the screws with messy glues, threadlockers and other "secret sauces".  Kit includes four (4) machine screws and four (4) nylon lock nuts.  All other items shown for illustration purposes only!
Please Note:  You will need to use a 5/64", #45, #46, 2.10mm or 2.15mm drill bit to enlarge the holes in the motor pod slightly.  At least one of these drill bit sizes (depending on what part of the world you are in) should be readily available at most hardware stores and home centers.

Hollow High-Performance 3/32" Axles
Roughly 40% lighter than a conventional solid axle, hollow axles will reduce rotating mass which can improve acceleration and braking.  These hollow axles feature the same high-quality as the better known brand at a price which doesn't break the bank.  Available in packages of one (1), two (2) or four (4) axles - buy more and save!!  Length is 55mm (approx. 2-1/4").

2mm Set Screws

Hi-Flexibility Motor Lead Wire
If you're planning to replace your car's guide, don't overlook the motor lead wires!  This wire is ideally suited for scratch builders or to replace the cheap, stiff wire which comes with many 1/32 RTR cars.  Designed specifically for robotic applications where the wire is under constant flexing, this wire is ideal for 1/32 slot car motor lead wires which also undergo constant flexing due to guide movement.  Unlike "hook-up" wire which generally has a low strand count (typically 7 - 19 strands) and thick PVC insulation, this wire has a very high strand count (168 individual copper strands) and thin silicone insulation - both of these attributes contribute to its extraordinary flexibility and "limpness".  The silicone insulation also holds up much better to soldering (high heat) than PVC insulation.  Sold in 10 foot lengths - blue insulation only.
