Team Slot Car Corner (SCC) is proud to announce that we've just set a new world record at Clover Leaf Raceway during the Michigan 24 Hour Endurance Race held April 2-3, 2011. The 4 member SCC team (Christian Gingras, Dickie Pearson, Mike "Smokeio" Ciocchio, Steve Sawtelle) ran their non-magnet Slot.It McLaren modified with SCC parts to a new record distance of 255.76 miles in 24 hours on a road course.  While not mandated, Super Tires "Classic" (silicone) tires were used exclusively by all teams participating in the event - they provided exceptional grip throughout the entire event.  For more information about the world record, please click here.

Notes:

1. Outer diameters (o.d.) listed for a given tire represent the tire's o.d. when mounted on the car/wheel the tire is designed for.  The o.d. of a given tire when NOT mounted on a wheel will generally be less since tires are typically stretched a slight amount when you mount them (which generally increases the tire's o.d. slightly).  This is by design - without the "tension" created by the slight stretching, the tires would be too "loose" when fitted onto a wheel.
