A new world record!

Six (6) teams recently competed in a 24 hour endurance race for plastic chassis 1/32 slot cars - the goal was to break the existing world distance record.  The event was contested on the challenging "Midwest Monster" track at Mid-America Raceway on March 6-7, 2010.  The Midwest Monster is an 8 lane, 148.5' track. Team Slingshot (left picture), a team from the greater Atlanta, GA area, won the event and set a new world record!!  Team members are (L-R): Jason Stanley, Kurt Moser, Doug Whelan, Mark Azarraga, Sean Ferreyra, Jon Grizzle and George Bagley.  Team Slingshot completed 233.3 (actual) miles which shattered the previous record of 223 miles. Congratulations to Team Slingshot! Team Slot Car Corner also fielded a team (right picture) which finished second overall with a grand total of 221.5 miles.

We are very proud the winning car used several Slot Car Corner products including high-performance CB Design LMP wheels, Super Tires (R) and high-flexibility motor lead wire.  These products performed flawlessly throughout the entire 24 hours. Welcome to the new Slot Car Corner website - a special place designed just for slot car enthusiasts!  Here you will find a treasure trove of practical how-to information and high-quality products.  When the original website was first setup back in 2005, the primary focus was on wiring slot car tracks and related projects.  Over time, visitors expressed an interest in purchasing the items shown in the how-to articles.  As a result, we began offering high-quality wiring products for all scales (H.O., 1/43, 1/32, and 1/24).  Here are just a few examples:

• Custom fabricated controller hookup panels are our flagship product.  We offer more configurations than anyone else and continue to add new configurations on a regular basis.  Each panel is meticulously fabricated and tested by hand to meet your specific requirements.
• Our Track Wiring Guide is by FAR the most comprehensive write-up available.  The guide requires no prior electrical knowledge or training, covers all aspects of a track wiring project and includes hundreds of accompanying photographs.  Best of all, the Track Wiring Guide is absolutely FREE!
• Track wiring kits include all hardware needed to hard wire a track and include one-of-a-kind wiring templates that make running and connecting all track wiring very straightforward.  Just add wire, a power supply and some controllers and you're in business.
